The Premyslids Czech Duke stronghold and settlement Plzeň untill before 976 till 1295, when the new Royal and municipal city Plzeň (New Plzen) was founded upon the confluence of Radbuza and Mze rivers a few miles NW. A very notable rest of the early medieval castle is the St. Peter & Paul´s romanesque rotunda.
