Nagtipunan, Quirino

Siitan Nature Park in Nagtipunan is a hidden gem in Quirino. You can do so many activities: river tubing, caving, cliff diving or just simply exploring the river. Only a few knows about this place because they are more familiar with Governors Rapids. We went there with my family and we’re the only one visiting the place during that time.

How to get there:

By private vehicle:

From Manila, follow the National highway going to the provinces of Nueva Vizcaya and Isabela.
In the first town of Isabela, Cordon, turn right towards Quirino province.
Follow the Cordon-Diffun-Maddela road until you reach a T road before Maddela town. Turn right towards Maddela.
Follow the National road and you will pass by Total gas station.
A few meters after Total gas station, there’s a municipal road on your right, turn right going to Nagtipunan. The landmark is a rundown building- Nagtipuan pasalubong and wellness.
Follow the municipal road that leads to Nagtipunan Municipal Hall. From there, you can ask the way to Siitan Natural park.

By public transportation (Bus direct to Maddela):

Florida and Nelbusco bus lines go directly to Maddela, Quirino from Manila.
In Maddela, you can ride a jeep going to Nagtipunan, Quirino.

By public transportation (Bus to Cordon junction):

There are many buses like Florida, Victory, Baliwag and Fivestar with terminals in Sampaloc and Cubao plying Manila-Isabela/Cagayan route.
Alight at Cordon, Isabela and ride a van or jeep going to Maddela, Quirino.
From Maddela, ride another jeep to Nagtipunan.
