About Long Mountain WMA Giles Rd West
The Long Mountain Wildlife Management Area contains a series of high-elevation hilltops, including Kingsbury Mountain. The land is covered with a mix of hardwood and softwoods, making it an ideal hunting location. Popular game species in the area include white-tail deer, wild turkey, black bear, bobcat, red fox, ruffed grouse, American woodcock, crow, and eastern coyote. In addition, Mud Pond and several wetlands in the property's southwest corner provide the opportunity for hunting waterfowl and aquatic furbearers. Offroad parking is limited at this location on Giles Road.
