Drones Hit Military Plant In Russia's Dzerzhinsk

The plant produces explosives.

At night on March 1, explosions were heard in the Russian town of Dzerzhinsk in Nizhny Novgorod region. This was reported by the Russian edition of SOTA.

It is reported that local residents recorded a drone attack.

"The plant named after Sverdlov, which produces explosives, has allegedly been attacked in the town of Dzerzhinsk in Nizhny Novgorod region", the journalists said.

The explosions in Dzerzhinsk were also reported by the ASTRA Telegram channel, which published several related videos. Russian officials and agencies have not yet commented on the incident.

It should be noted that according to the Ukrainian National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NAPC), the above-mentioned Sverdlov plant is under sanctions imposed by the EU, the UK, the USA, Canada, Switzerland, Australia, Japan, Ukraine and New Zealand.

The enterprise specialises in manufacturing main types of explosives and mixtures based on them, as well as ammunition for all branches of the Russian Ministry of Defence.

According to the NAPC, the plant supplies practically all types of ammunition used in the course of the Russian armed aggression against Ukraine.
