Español: En la zona del cerro palo blanco en la provincia de Catamarca se encuentran varios sitios arqueológicos en las cima de los cerros llamados pukaras de los cuales se puede inferir se construyeron como mecanismo de defensa ante posibles ataques o saqueos. Las fortificaciones están elaboradas de rocas que fueron transportadas hasta la cima, se construyeron de forma rectangular con paredes altas donde se puede visualizar la entrada principal, los hallazgos indican que se trataban de sitios residenciales con presencia de un fogón central para la cocción del maíz, en el sitio se hallo varios fragmentos de cerámica policromatica, huesos de animales, maiz quemado y fragmentos de obsidiana. |
