Bridekirk’s first meeting of the season produced three good finishes, all completed before the rain came.
Huntsman’s Que, trained by Denise Bland and owned by Bill Birkett and Lisa Crosby narrowly beat Kinniside Dan in a good finish to the senior trail which had a healthy 36 entries.
Cautious, who had scored her second win of the season on Saturday, could only manage fifth.
Another 28 contested the puppy trail where Silver Streak finished very strongly to beat Lady Million by a length.
Silver Streak is joint-owned by Phil Graham, Darren McMaster, Anthony Skelton and Sadie Wilson.
To round-off the evening 32 open maidens contested their grade and in another tight finish Colin Satterthwaite’s Thorn Snap beat Shiraz with kennel-mate Thorn Pop in third.
The next HTA meeting is on Saturday at Kirkland with hounds, pups, open maidens and open restricted starting at 1pm.
