The first five screenshots are what prompted yanderedev to go and make his own yansim discord server (so he could run it like the dictatorship it is - I would know, I was on it for a while and he and his mods just kicked people off and deleted messages willy nilly. Users who liked me and my art DM’d me and told me not to ever say anything critical about the game or else I’d get kicked, and they wouldnt want to see me go - it felt like an abusive relationship was happening).

This is ridiculous. His fans made a fan server to hang out, like how fans do… and he thinks the fact it was made without asking him is a solid point for his argument, and then saying “without my consent” like they leaked his nudes or something. It’s a ridiculous thing to say!!! Nobody in the bayonetta fan server I’m in has gone and asked bloody nintendo if they could make a server for their game, that’s just stupid.

So… he didnt like someone who had been allowed to stay. Why did he even bother arguing about why he though he’d not done anything wrong? If his time is so important, and he’s a pro at what he does… why didn’t he just leave? Your fans don’t need to be a cult, let them talk to each other and be kids (the game’s main audience are young people after all); or even critical if they like. You aren’t putin, don’t go around silencing anyone who would even dare say something about you that doesnt make you look like an actual angel sent from heaven. And recently, with the amount of people who are realising yandev might not actually be so great; he’s probably doing too much damage control to work on his game very much. All I see is him doing bloody damage control, telling people they’re “stains” or making long-winded apology posts and videos that frame him as a poor innocent soul who did nothing wrong, and only apologising for being “so busy” and being “so stupid”, never for things he has actually done wrong - which is very manipulative. Before you tell me he is too busy and does make mistakes, yes, every human does, but he wrote it, for his blog and his channel. He can say anything he likes about himself - anyone can do it, watch!

I’m making $4000 a month on patreon, and contributing $500 a month to the game I’m developing - I’m not keeping any money from my twitch or donations, but I keep a small amount from my youtube revenue; so that I am able to live comfortably and work on the game. The reason you havent heard of any volunteers getting paid with this money recently is because they’re working on spoilery projects which I cannot show at this time, whilst the rest of the money is being saved for after the kickstarter. I still need the kickstarter campaign despite all this to truly secure the down payment for a full-time programmer.

It’s THAT easy! The revenue from twitch, merch, youtube and donations isnt mentioned anywhere in his transparency posts (shown above, where he tells us how the money is going towards the game). If he wanted to silence those accusing him of pocketing it, couldn’t he just… prove he’s not doing that? Like, get one of his paid artists or VAs to speak out? Show a screenshot of a bank balance or statement? That seems like a pretty fast way to arm your fans with the right stuff to prove wrong those pesky haters.

But no, he’s blocking anyone who mentions this stuff. That’s a lot more effort. I dont think anyone innocent does that… at all.

Im a solid believer people can grow and change… but yandev seems to be doing bad stuff nowadays too. I’m honestly embarrassed I used to be such a huge fan and made so much fanart, and I bet patreon supporters and donators would feel that tenfold… so I can understand ignoring the feeling of betting on the wrong horse. I did for a long time. I had to see the stuff he did firsthand to pull myself together and realise that maybe he is lying about a few things. The worst thing is, there’s way more bad stuff he’s done, recently, but there’s other posts about those so please have a browse around the internet or DM me if you like. 😅
