Bhavnagar: Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) has given the order for manufacturing 10 thousand containers to a company based in Vartej, Bhavnagar in Gujarat. The Bhavnagar-based company will be the first in the country to manufacture such a large number of containers.
The team of CONCOR, under the leadership of CONCOR CMD V. Kalyana Rama, visited Bhavnagar district to review the container manufacturing companies. They reviewed Vartej-based Avad Krupa Pvt Ltd and Junabandar-based Mesors Mohanlal Gpalji Patel company. They finally gave the order of making 10 thousand containers to Avad Krupa company. The company is the first in the country to get orders for making such a large number of containers.
CONCOR CMD V Kalyana Rama said, “Bhavnagar will play an important role in manufacturing containers in a large number. The containers were initially manufactured in South Korea. Later, China got a monopoly in manufacturing containers. All the industrial units will have to work collaboratively to withstand the competition with China. We will have to achieve a fall in steel prices by purchasing it in large amounts. We will have to also consider the fall and rise in the international market prices. If we will be able to do all these together, then there are large possibilities of container manufacturing in Bhavnagar.”
