Speculation and prediction about GTA 6 are at an all-time high since Rockstar Games announced to reveal trailer for the game in early December. While there are a lot of things that players are wondering if they will be added, evolved, or removed, they want the cheat codes to make a return and it’d be amazing to see some from the non-HD universe.
Cheat codes have been an important part of the Grand Theft Auto franchise, and it is what makes the games feel so interesting to play. We can all remember scribbling down cheat codes on a piece of paper and keeping it handy whenever playing the game. The cheat codes have been in the GTA series from the original Grand Theft Auto to GTA 5 and need to be in GTA 6.
Why Cheat Codes Are a Must in GTA 6?
Cheat codes are a longstanding feature in the Grand Theft Auto games. Rockstar Games have done an incredible job incorporating them into the game, allowing players to alter the gameplay experience. One of the main reasons why GTA 6 should have cheat codes is that these codes have been an integral part of the franchise right from the original GTA.
Although the cheat codes were way more different than how they are today. However, it all changed in Grand Theft Auto 3 and players were able to use cheat codes more conveniently. There are codes related to health, respawning vehicles, wanted levels, and more. Other cheats such as infinite ammo and weapon sets gave players the ability to create chaos in the game and eventually became fan-favorites.
GTA 4 modernized the cheat codes as players were able to bring up their phones and enter the phone numbers that were related to codes. This helped players immerse in the game environment and also helped players avoid entering codes accidentally. However, GTA 4 had fewer cheat codes than previous games like San Andreas and even if there were some originals, players wanted some unique codes.
GTA 5 improved on this with the addition of new cheat codes and although players haven’t loved the 5-minute God Mode, some of the codes are still popular. GTA 5 also didn’t feature phone cheat at first instead went to the old style with button combinations, but a phone cheat was later added.
It would be a good bet to say that cheat codes will make a return in GTA 6, but it is unclear how they will be handled. Rockstar Games has always provided players with several entertaining cheats and since GTA 6 is rumored to have two protagonists, both the protagonists with different cheat codes would be a whole lot better.
As much as we would like to see cheat codes in GTA 6, it is important to acknowledge they are a dying feature. Many of the modern games have ditched the cheat codes but given how cheats in Grand Theft Auto games have been available forever, there is no reason to assume that they would not be in GTA 6.
There would also be nothing better if players had to write cheats and keep them by their side while they played the game. It would also be great to see some of the classic staples make a return in GTA 6 such as pedestrian riot, skin cheats, infinite health, and several others. Cheat codes have allowed players to experience the game world in unique ways some just cause chaos, some help with the challenge and some are just to have fun.
This allows players to enjoy the gameplay a lot better and they find new ways to do things that they grew out of. It is also a fact that while the cheat codes help players get through a challenge easily, players mostly use them to cause mayhem and keep them entertained in the game.
GTA games and cheat codes go together like a horse and carriage, and it wouldn’t be fair if players would not be able to fly helicopters under bridges or drive cars on water in GTA 6.
