The DVC (Academics) Asst. Prof. Sani Ahmed Yauta, on behalf of the VC declared open a 2-day TTT Training Workshop on Microsoft Teams Learning Management System (LMS) Application

The training was organized in preparation for the forthcoming Open Distance Learning Education by the Gombe State University, Gombe. The training was organized for 3 selected members of Staff of each Faculties and Departments concerned. The event which started on the 06th December, 2023 was held at the Computer Laboratory, ICT Directorate of the University, and was successfully concluded on the 07th December, 2023. In attendance were the Director ICT, Asst. Prof. Bala Modi, Prof. Danladi M. Umar (Resource Person), Prof. O.A. Adepoju (Resource Person) and Dr. Ali Aminu ((Resource Person).

Prof. Umar Pate, VC FUK Donates 20 Brand New Laptop Computers to Gombe State University, Gombe.

Prof. Umar Pate, the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University Kashere, Gombe State was on on a working visit to the Gombe State University to personally donate 20 Functional Laptop Computers to the University on behalf of his sponsors the Macarthur Foundation, USA, on the 06th December, 2023. He was warmly received at the University Council Chamber by the members of the University Management led by the DVC (Admin), Prof. Mahmoud Umar, with the DVC (Acad), Provost COMS, Deans and Directors (PP&D and ICT).

Attestation and Oath Taking Ceremony of the 4th Set of Medical Doctors and Prof. Emeritus Idris Mohammed 1st Annual Lecture Series Programme was held on the 18th November, 2023. A total of 23 Medical Doctors were inducted into the Medical Profession. The event was held at the Multipurpose Auditorium of the University College of Medical Sciences Clinical Arm Campus.

At the Attestation and Oath Taking Ceremony of the 4th Set of Medical Doctors and Prof. Emeritus Idris Mohammed 1st Annual Lecture Series Programme which was held on the 18th November, 2023. Prof. Emeritus Idris Mohammed was honored by the Chief Host and Vice Chancellor of the Gombe State University, Gombe in person of Prof. Aliyu Usman El-Nafaty, OFR on behalf of the Medical College. The Award was presented by the representative of the Visitor to the University in person of the Hon. Commissioner for Higher Education.

At the just concluded annual Nigeria GOVTech Conference and Public Service Awards program, Gombe State University (GSU) was recognized as the best State University - Website. This is a proof of the institution's commitment to digital administration and transformation par excellence. The Vice Chancellor, Professor Aliyu Usman El-Nafaty, OFR, was also honored with the "Distinguished Trailblazer's Award" for his significant contribution to the advancement of Digital Governance in the Education Sector. The 2-day event was held at the International Conference Center, Abuja from the 12th - 13th October, 2023 by 9:00am daily.
