LOWER SHEPLEY FARM

“I have always loved this house. It has so many original and beautiful features with its old beams and beautiful rooms and moving on is a hard thing to do. I have lived here for many years with my own family, but it is time to move on and let the house live again with new occupants.

SELLER INSIGHT I loved the farm from the very first moment my husband and I viewed it in 1989. It had a warm feeling with lots of room for our children to play safely on our own land and we knew it would be a great place for them to grow up. With four children and lots of wider family, we thought the farm was great as it was big enough to fit us all in, and more,” recalls the current owner. “We extensively renovated the house and land when we first moved in, including taking the walls back to bare brick and creating extra bedrooms and a shower room on the top floor. Imagine our delight when we removed the wallpaper covering the inglenook fire in the main lounge only to find the original bread ovens! We renovated a characterful but old and tired farmhouse into what is now a fantastic family home where my children have all grown up.” “The house is in a wonderful location. The garden is South facing, and it is very private and not overlooked, ideal for relaxing and enjoying BBQs on the raised deck. There are many lovely walks accessed directly from the house and we are also within walking distance to The Lickey Hills which is a favourite area for hikers and mountain bikers. There is a good choice of shops and restaurants within the local area, as well as golf courses and other recreational activities. The area is quiet but also conveniently close to the motorway network and Birmingham Airport. My children and grandchildren have all attended the excellent schools in the immediate area and we have so many lovely outside areas to enjoy.” “Lower Shepley Farm is a great home for a family who enjoy entertaining. We have celebrated so many special occasions over the 30 years that we have lived here. The snug sitting room and large lounge with the inglenook fireplace make winter get togethers quite magical, whilst the formal dining room is home to our convertible dining/snooker table which has seen loads of fun over the years. We also have a large kitchen and breakfast room and plenty of accommodation for friends and family to sleep over.”
