It is one of many notable points of interest along the Ridgeway National Trail, just one of many local footpaths to explore. The village shop is within few minutes’ walk and provides for mainly daily necessities and as does the newsagents. The nearby village of Wroughton, approximately 2.5 miles away, has a wide range of shops and amenities including post office, butcher, dentist, barbers and two mini-supermarkets. There is a good selection of country pubs in the area too, perfect for breaking up a walk. More extensive shopping and facilities are available in Swindon and the nearby market town of Marlborough.
