The outskirts of Albenga serve as a border between the coast and the network of the four valleys that, from the Maritime Alps, descend their waters towards the Centa river and the city.

On the sea is Albenga with its historic medieval Roman center and the agricultural plain full of products (zucchinis, “trumpets”, tomatoes, artichokes, asparagus).

Upstream, instead, you go towards Val Neva and Val Pennavaire, which go up towards the limestone ridges of Mount Galero and towards Colle San Bernardo, beyond which stretches the Piedmontese Val Tanaro.

Cisano Sul Neva is a stop on the "wine and oil road" (which can be explored by itinerary and is renowned for the Pigato DOC to which a prestigious festival is dedicated in nearby Salea).

Visit of the town

Inside the historic center of Cisano, where stands the Romanesque bell tower of Santa Maria Maddalena, you can park in Piazza del Municipio, and take a little stroll through the alleys.

Cisano offers several points of interest. The panoramic sanctuary of Santa Croce, passing by Pizzo Ceresa and the nineteenth-century fort of Poggio Grande, is worth a visit.

Cisano sul Neva is located on the western edge of the Poggio Grande Naturalistic Area, which extends towards Toirano and Borghetto Santo Spirito in a typically Ligurian landscape, among terracing strips of land cultivated or reconquered by the forest, olive groves, Mediterranean scrub, nineteenth-century military forts.

All with sea view.
