We stopped in for late lunch/early dinner and the place was nearly empty but the staff was busy. The place had only been open less than a week and they were working on improvements in the bar area.
Our waitress, Luce, was awesome and took great care of us. The chips and salsa was good, fairly standard except for a style of pico that was are of onions, mushrooms, cilantro and lime which was on the savory side and very good.
Our son ordered French fries, the husband had the Carne Asada Y Mas with enchilada and I had the Carne Asada Y Mas with a taco. The enchilada and taco were good, nothing to crave but the carne asada was a different story! The meat was extremely tender and marinated and cooked to perfection. It was a complemented by home style refried beans and rice. We were a bit disappointed that the carne asada didn't come with tortillas as it does in most places but it's easily ordered as a side.
We decided to end the meal with a sweet treat and ordered their deep fried ice cream to share as it definitely did not disappoint.
Overall, the prices were reasonable, the food was filling and tasty and the service was great, we will be back for sure.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Cory H.Olympia, WA1215Apr 14, 2024
We went here for dinner the other night, it's been a while since we have but it was close so we thought we'd give it another shot. 1st off I ordered the portobello with carne asada. What I got was sliced button mushrooms and very little meat. Very disappointing. The worst part was my husband ordered 2 fresh margaritas which ending up costing $44! My husband asked if that was right and was told he each drink had 2.5 shots in it and there is no what that was even close to true as he'd be super tipsy after having 5 shots. Won't be going back, I'll just make the drive to Elma.

REALLY wanted to like this place Unfortunately it reminded me of the resort restaurant when we visited Mazatlan that caters to white folk. Not a whole lot of flavor but kids and old people love it.
The dining room was absolutely empty at 5pm on a Sunday, holiday weekend so I'm guessing maybe this isn't a favorite of the locals either.
The Good:
Hubby enjoyed the enchiladas & crispy tacos
Fresh produce
The Bad:
Didn't care for the shredded beef or the crispy shell it came in.
The So-so:
Chips & Salsa
Rice & beansHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jul 3, 2022
!Warning! You maybe overcharged for dinner prices when you order for lunch.
It's kind of disappointing because we were happy with the food, but we ended up with surprises in our bill. Specifically we ordered the fajitas which were listed for $13.90 for lunch and when the bill came they changed us $25. We asked if this was correct and they said that we don't do the lunch fajitas on Saturday and also there is a extra $5 for mixing beef and ship. None of this was mentioned to us when we placed the order. We thought we missed this in the menu so we paid, left a good tip and when our way.
As I'm writing this review, I double checked the menu photos and there is no note about lunch prices not being valid on the weekend (you can even place an order online for the lunch price). I'm fine if the price is $25 just make it clear in the menu so that there aren't surprises when the bill comes.
Another issue is that the toilet in the mens room has no door.
Other than that, the food was good overall, papa loca could have a bit more meat in my opinion. Service was good outside of the pricing issue, the atmosphere was pretty relaxed.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Joy G.Olympia, WA02Dec 14, 2023
Terrible food. Was told it was an authentic mexican food steakhouse. For the price, what you got , I will never go back. Authentic mean no prepacked taco shells, no prepackaged tostada shells. The cheapest thing you can serve is rice and beans, hardly any on the plate. Chicken had tomatoe taste to it, not good at all. $19.99 for a combination plate, 3 items I would expect to be full when I leave. Not here. Food was not hot.

First time here and Food was very subpar. Ordered a beef burrito and shredded chicken burrito. Chicken was cold, beef was ok. The green sauce was very runny and sour not sure what it even was and waitress didn't even know or why it was so sour. They didn't have chips and salsa which is a staple with mexican food. No heat so very cold inside, they had one small portable infrared heater in the bar area going none in the main restaurant. There was no hot water in the restroom. Was really hoping it was going to be someplace new to visit on the harbor but not really even sure how they are still in business. We were the only people at lunch time so that should have been a clue. It was clean that much I can say and that's what the 2 stars are for is cleanliness.

Extremely overpriced! Water had floaties in it!
$75 for 9 small tacos, and 2 kids quesadilla meals. The place was dirty inside, but the service was decent.... I wouldn't go back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 18, 2021
First off violating a mask mandate. States on the door you don't have to wear a mask. Strike one. Floors greasy. Strike two. Unmasked waitress 3 ft from my face talking while palming the top of my water glass... Strike three.
Blatant disregard for customers safety. Even if you don't think masks help, it's a public place of business. Wear the mask. Clean your greasy floors and for gods sake, keep your hand off the rim of glasses that people are going to drink from. Seriously, my straw was between her fingers.
Epic fail.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 0 - Frances E.Olympia, WA0478Feb 21, 2023
We truly enjoyed our meal here. Just driving through town and happened to see it and decided to stop and were definitely not disappointed.
