Great little place. Owner is really nice and helpful. Nice selection of local produce, honey ,eggs, cheese and baked goods. Also a room with antiques.

Great little store for local cheese and produce . They also have a nice selection of New England antiques. Parking is easy get in and out of.

My husband and I stopped in with our two year old to buy produce. While we were there my son moved some gravel onto the threshold of the door, which my husband cleaned off. I didn't think it was a big deal, but while I was paying $50 for one bag of her produce the woman at the cash wrap (she looked about 60) snarled at me "Give me your address so I can come to YOUR house and cause mass destruction."

Yes. "Mass destruction". Because my toddler put some tiny rocks on the threshold, which we then moved back to where he got them, an inch away on the ground.

She was seething with rage and I have no idea why. The entire episode was extremely bizarre, one of the strangest most over blown reactions to a non incident that I have ever experienced.

My husband and I laughed all the way home about how mental some people are, but seriously, what if she followed us and is going to burn our house down while we sleep or something?

Shop here if you must, but maybe have the expectation of a "Dick's Last Resort" or "Soup Nazi" style of customer service. Be on your best behavior or Angry Granny's gonna threaten your personal property.

Fantastic local small business! They do a great job of bringing together a variety of local products inc. eggs, honey, produce etc. Also some antiques and unique items are available as well. Definitely one of my favorite places to go!

We go a couple of times a month to buy eggs from The Country Hen at a discount. My husband adores the "super jumbos" that often have double-yolks. Jane has a nice selection of antiques and country items and I have bought several things there. Also, there is fresh produce in the summer and often baked goods as well as cheese, etc. Fun place!
