Hi Plains Motel

Stopped here because of bad weather for one night. Room is large, king size bed, microwave and fridge. Very roomy and I sure like the sink and counter outside of the bathroom. It is a little dated and that shows in the bedspread and the bathroom tub but it is livable and decently priced. Would not have a problem staying here again.

We recently stayed there a couple of nights while in Western Kansas for a funeral. Bruce and staff are very friendly and accommodating. Before I go any further if I needed a place to stay out there I would stay again.

Over the phone, we were told the rooms were updated. The mattress & pillows were good. Overall the decor and the flooring were very dated. They offered a complimentary breakfast. I would skip it and go to the Route 96 restaurant down the street.

This is more difficult review, as it's an older hotel. The hotel is circa 1970 (probably older) but was refurbished several times. It was a quiet place to stay surprisingly as it was packed two of the three nights we were there. The room was clean and everything worked; hence, the good review. There was no hot breakfast, due to Covid-19. I was told normally there's a decent hot breakfast.
