This is probably one of my favorite places to eat in Indiana . And likely the closest to southern cooking you will find. It's not a large buffet but there is more than plenty to eat. Their pan fried chicken is delicious as is there freshly cooked vegetables and sides. This is definitely a not to miss place if you find yourself close to Terre Haute. It's about 30 minutes or so south of Terre Haute.

Family friendly restaurant. You get what you paid for. It's a buffet restaurant and the food is really delish. I would love to go back! I love their fried chicken and ham balls. It's tasty. They also have homemade pies and cakes that are really good too. All homemade and fresh. They have bunch of food selection. Great service and amazing staff. You need to call for reservation and they only accept cash.

Small farm to table buffet. Unfortunately like most establishments, they are having trouble getting staff.
The owner greets you, takes your $18 which includes unlimited buffet, desserts, and drink. The buffet line is manned by 2 who dip all your choices.
The fried chicken is great. Desserts are homemade. Salads are made fresh and include what is harvested from their gardens.
I would be there when they open or an hour before closing to avoid lines.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - David L.Terre Haute, IN41912Jul 7, 2016

Never disappointed with our meal at McKinley Orchard! We went there last evening with another couple from Robinson,IL. The food was fresh, home cooked, and very delicious. The service was outstanding also. By the time we left I could barely walk back to the car because I was stuffed! Only open on Friday and Saturday evening so don't miss out. I tell all my friends about this little gem. Remember if you are traveling from Illinois to add an hour because of the time difference. The cost there is all inclusive. Drink, meal, and dessert included! Mmmmmm good!

Staying for a couple days at nearby RV park and found this place on Yelp. Service was friendly and food was great. Would definitely go back again if we are in the area on Friday or Saturday night.

My wife and I had a gift certificate for this place and decided to try it out. When we arrived the parking lot was full and the restaurant was packed. We though this place must be a really good. Boy were we wrong. This is one of the worst places I have ever been. We had reservations for 6 PM and were seated at once. When we sat at the table I thought it was going to turn over. I told the young man serving us and he acted like it was no big deal. He asked us what we wanted to drink, I said Diet Pepsi. He said they only have iced tea, lemonade decaf coffee or water. I ordered coffee (they only had powdered creamer) my wife had lemonade. The line to the buffet was so narrow that you could not even turn around. I had chicken wings, pasta salad, mashed potatoes and noodles. The pasta salad , chicken wings and noodles were great. The mashed potatoes were the worst I have ever had. After to bites I got a fork full of uncooked potatoes with the skin still on it (unpeeled).
This place is so crowed (with tables and chairs) I'm not sure it's safe. If they had a fire I don't think everyone would make it out. When I dine out I want an atmosphere that is not giving me the feeling of being part of a heard of cattle. I want to be able to talk and not yell.
I will not be going back to the business and I don't recommend it unless you don't mind some bad food and a over crowed atmosphere. Good luck!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Debbie M.Newburgh, IN14102217Jul 25, 2015
Food was good, and service even better. Reservations are recommended. Everything is buffet. Pan fried chicken, ham, ham balls, real mashed potatoes, green beans, corn on the cob, fresh fruit and salads. It is all fresh from their farm. The desserts are made daily. Excellent coconut cream pie!

My family recently visited this restaurant and had a not so great experience. This was our first time visiting. It's a buffet and the salad portion of the buffet was overrun with gnats and flies. The dressing literally had dead gnats in it. At one point when I was standing in line I had a fly crawling around in my salad. The hot food did not have a bug problem but the mashed potatoes were clearly instant and the fried chicken was lacking seasoning. The waitresses were friendly and the overall atmosphere was nice. I was really disappointed that the food was only ok and not great. I will not be recommending that my family or any of my friends go there.

Kinda surprised there are only 5 reviews of this place. We went tonight for dinner. They are only open Friday and Saturday night from 5-8PM. It is a home-style buffet in a country setting. They had pan fried chicken which was amazing, ham, roast beef, green beans, corn, mashed potatoes (real not instant) assorted salads, and rolls. We ordered sweet tea and they brought out the entire pitcher. Was some pretty good sweet tea and I am from the south and know a thing or two about sweet tea. And if all that food wasn't enough they will bring out homemade desserts of your choice. We opted for the Jackson Pie which was pecan pie with chocolate chips in it. Pretty good stuff. You do need to call for a reservation. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars to this place is because they are cash/check only and that caused me to need to make an extra stop just to be able to dine here as I never carry cash with me. $15 per person includes buffet, drink and dessert. Definitely worth every penny! Service was great as well. I don't remember our servers name but she has been there for years and she is or was a school teacher.
