What a great experience! My family and I couldn't be more pleased with the whale shark expedience that was provided. The boat ride to get to the sharks can be long (approx. 1 - 1.5 hours) but worth it. Our guide Felipe explained what we can do and what we cant do once we get to the whale sharks. Once a whale shark was spotted, the captain dropped us in the water, perfectly positioned to see the whale shark. Once we returned, we stopped at Playa Norte (some the prettiest water I have ever seen in my life) and they made some fresh ceviche for everyone on board. What a great day and I would recommend their services to anyone.

Great company to go and swim with whale sharks. Keep in mind these are only here in season. (Starting around June 1st - September 15th) The downside to coming to Mexico to swim with the Whale Sharks is you have to wear those ridiculous life vests, but in Isla Mujeres it's almost a guaranteed sighting. Due to government regulations no free diving . The life vest makes it seem like more of a tourist trap than pelagic adventures in other countries. Still a great experience to be in the water with such magical creatures.

We had an excellent trip with Captain Archie, Mannie and our guide Omar. When the usual location didn't have many whale sharks 6/24/17, they traveled further out to find the sharks. Everyone on the boat had 2 interactions with the sharks- amazing experience!

I took 2 doses of Dramamine and still got seasick- just be prepared for that. 3 people were sick on our trip but I wouldn't trade the entire day for anything!

The crew was fantastic and caring. Plenty of food, drink and beer (after the shark).

It's a bit intimidating to jump in to the ocean 31 miles offshore to see a 40 foot fish upclose, but Mannie, Omar and Archie take excellent care of you!

Had an amazing day snorkling with Jorge and pancho. Very nice people. Went out of their way to make us welcome and comfortable. Took us to two snorkling locations and showed us around, then grilled fish for us and we had a feast. I think that'll be the best food I will have in Cancun.

      First to Review

When we first started planning our trip to Mexico we had one thing in mind - whale sharks.

After using another review website I stumbled upon Jorge and his services. The main reason I went with Jorge was his website. It was super easy to prebook and prepay for our whale shark snorkeling trip.

The day started out great. After receiving breakfast at the dock we split into two groups on two boats. Although the entire group of ~20 people could have easily fit on one of the boats Jorge explained that he liked to keep the group smaller and not stress out the whale sharks. After about an hour we found them. The groups in the water were limited to 2 people with a guide. Our boat had two guides so maximum 6 people in the water from our boat at a time. This allowed us to get great pictures without having others in our shots, as well as keeping the whale sharks calm.

After a few hours with them, and the occasional manta ray that swam by as well, we headed back to shore, slowly trawling for fish and eating some sandwiches that were provided. We managed to catch two bonitos (which are in the tuna family) which were quickly added to our freshly made ceviche when we reached the beach. As the ceviche was prepared we snorkeled around a small beach and enjoyed the rest of the day.

Honestly, this was one of the most amazing days of my life. Another couple on the boat who had more time on the island got off and immediately booked with Jorge to go again. Jorge and his crew were absolutely phenomenal and you can tell they care about their customers as well as the sharks themselves.

When it's not whale shark season Jorge is happy to customize any other trip you make be looking for - snorkeling, fishing etc....although it's clear fishing is one of his true passions.

I will recommend this to anyone and everyone for all of my days ahead. What an amazing staff they had--especially Mannie. It was the most special part of our trip, and the staff did everything they could to make us enjoy the day! They even made fresh ceviche and guacamole (must haves in Mexico) for all of the guests on the boat. ONLY thing I recommend for the trip: a go-pro and DRAMAMINE!!!

Amazing time with Jorge and the crew! Previously saw amazing ratings on trip advisor. Luckily we got the last 2 spots on the boat the day we wanted to go on the Whale Shark tour. Day was so fun, the crew really care about the whale sharks too. The boat was very nice and handled the choppy waters well. The snorkeling after the whales was fun and the fresh ceviche was great. Definitely don't hesitate booking with this company!
