This is such a cute and nice area. Idk why the ratings are so poor. It's literally a tourist sweet spot. There is a ski resort, movie theater, hotels, a concert venue, a waterpark, a baseball stadium, restaurants, shops, and apparently an incoming Dave and Busters.

Everything is also modern and well taken care of. Things can be expensive of course but that's too be expected here. This is a place for a fun and memorable weekend with loved ones. Although I don't think I could afford to come here every single weekend.

This is a well maintained facility in terms of the grounds. Where it slips is in its draw to consumers on the average day. No surprise, as there are AT LEAST 19 empty storefronts as of the date of this review. Undoubtedly Covid is part of this, but even before the pandemic the Shops had trouble with tenancy. Given the good location that spells one thing; overvalued space. The bane of businesses and economic growth. If you don't have a very specific need or are making a Starbucks run, the only place you're likely to find interesting is the Christmas Tree Shop. It wouldn't surprise me if Long Horn Steakhouse is the only eating establishment here next year. Drop your rates before it's too late!

A mixture of empty and early closers.

This is a fantastic shopping center at Montage Mountain with a wide variety of stores. Unfortunately, COVID restrictions have forced seventeen of the stores to close down. There are still many stores available to visit but enough is enough. The COVID restrictions need to end.

I don't visit the Montage Mountain area much since the Red Barons are no longer the Phillies AAA affiliate. Came up for a movie playing in Cinemark 20 and stopped at the Shoppes At Montage to explore. Frankly, I don't know why this lifestyle center was built as it makes no sense.

The design of the complex is odd due to the main entrance leading to a choke point. Should you go left to Starbucks the parking lot is narrow. It feels that this complex was wedged into an area that should be larger. The stores were designed to look like buildings in a town but it looks tacky, the design is not clean like the lifestyle center at the Lehigh Valley Mall.

Most of the stores here do not match what I generally go shopping for or my style of clothing. The store selection ("upscale") for this lifestyle center is confusing because Wilkes-Barre/Scranton was in a recession when it was built and it's only become worse. Most of the stores in this lifestyle center belong in a mall. One of the surprises we found was several empty storefronts, some of them large.

What would have made more sense than the Shoppes At Montage? The Mall at Steamtown, Viewmont Mall, or Wyoming Valley Mall should have been expanded into Super Regional Malls like the Lehigh Valley Mall or King of Prussia Mall. In place of The Shoppes at Montage a development like the Wilkes-Barre Township Commons should have been built with a Target or equivalent store as the anchor.

This is a nice small outdoor shopping area for anyone in the area. Very clean and everyone is very nice. Those blaming this place for Steamtown Malls demise are completely idiotic. You cannot compare the two shopping centers. This one is more like an outdoor outlet mall while Steamtown is a regular mall. Those complaining must wok in the mall or else they wouldn't bother making suck stupid comments. Steamtown needs clients that are willing to spend money. Unfortunately the mall is filled with some very shady characters which is why I don't go there. The clientele here is much nicer and you don't feel like your in a slum. Steamtown is a very nice mall in terms of layout and size but their failure to bring in popular businesses and appropriate clients is what harms the success. There isn't even a decent place to eat at the Steamtown. How can any mall not be able to at least have a few decent places to eat? Plus having a big gym in the center of the mall is strange and probably keeps some businesses away.

If you are in the Moosic area stop by the Shoppes, it's a nice but small outlet type center. Don't listen to the negative reviews of people who obviously work at Steamtown mall.

While I understand that many feel this is a cause of the Steamtown Mall failing, it cannot be the only reason. I always enjoyed my experience here and my mom and I have made it a tradition to do some shopping there in the fall. There are a lot of great stores there all year round, not just seasonal; Yankee Candle, The Christmas Store, etc. Yet, it can be a pain to walk from one end to the other in inclement weather.

Beware of their gift cards! It's not a "name brand" gift card (e.g., Visa), but rather a card run by "Store Financial" which is apparently a subsidiary of Bank of America. It turns out that after a period of inactivity they charge a fee of $2.50 MONTHLY! Wow, what an extremely bad and totally unethical deal.

Decent open-air shopping center on Montage Mountain in Moosic (Scranton), PA. Surprised by some of the vacancies, but all in all, it's solid for an hour or two of shopping.

Despite some of the other reviews this is a very nice shopping environment. The center is clean and has plenty of parking.

Did you know that the Shoppes at Montage has a gift card policy that has a $2.50 monthly fee if you do not use your gift card in one year? That is one of the highest monthly fees, if not the highest fee, that I have ever come across.
