Spinach artichoke dip is great. Small town atmosphere with big city selections.
It's a big place, and they have a large selection of drinks and food. We like to come here to watch the Packers games. There is plenty of space between tables so you don't feel too close to anyone. Pool tables in back. There is a patio but I don't usually see people out there. Maybe there's no TV?
I always eat too much when I come here. The spinach artichoke dip is probably the best I've ever had. It comes with homemade garlic toast which is also amazing.
Staff is always friendly and happy to help.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mark D.Chicago, IL283121500Oct 7, 2021
Star Prairie sports bar is a good place to catch a game. It's in our rotation of places that we go to watch the Packers not in enemy territory, though you'll see some Vikings jerseys as well.
They serve food and it's good. Our go-to is the horribly delicious buttery spinach artichoke dip. Very creamy and rich and definitely not vegan. Decent bar food otherwise.
Staff are very nice all around. Though it's a big place, it feels warm and friendly and small town in a welcoming way.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Michael A.San Luis Obispo, CA12265Aug 8, 2016
This place has a really nice menu selection, especially for a sports bar. I've tried their parmesan encrusted walleye fish plate. Super good! It was really tender on the inside with a perfectly crisply crust on the outside. Their mashed potatoes and gravy go great with it.
On my second visit I tried their French dip (one of my favorite dishes). Also great! The bread was good, the meat was good and the Au Jus sauce was super flavorful (and not too salty, which I like!).
The atmosphere here is friendly and laid back. The staff was really nice, even when it was really busy. They seem to take note of their Yelp reviews because there was peaceful background music playing while the TV's were quietly playing sports channels.
A solid 5-star spot in my book. I only visit once a year to see family, but I'll definitely be coming back here again!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - RJ W.Red Wing, MN23442May 28, 2019

This place has a lot of potential. The Fish Fry with the Red Potatoes and Creamy Coleslaw had good taste. The Bartenders were very friendly and sweet. The place needs to have background music instead of incessant sports noise that no one can understand playing. Totally under staffed, yet the bartenders and cook staff were seriously very very cool! Good choice! Way to hold up the fort Richie and Ashley!!

I had the fish fry tonight with cheesy potatoes and garlic bread and everything was excellent! I loved every bite. Portions are on point. Waiter was a kind and polite young man who saw that we were well taken care of despite a busy crowd. This was actually the best meal I've had there. Will be back for more fish. Loved the potato options.

This place makes a mean crispy chicken wrap stuffed to the max with bacon, chicken, cheese, lettuce, ranch, maybe some tomatoes? , MOST of the time. Sometimes I get it and it's not the cats meow. They have lunch specials every day that are good but not completely homemade. I had the meatloaf dinner. The augratin potatoes were from a box, but they were good and reminded me of something straight from my high school cafeteria from days bygone. Staff are nice. Nice patio for summer nights.

Bartender/Server Morgan was phenomenal. Food service was TERRIBLE. There was less then 30 people I. The entire restaurant. 3 People that arrived 20 mins after me got their food prior to me getting my food. Another 2 customers that placed their order at the same time as mine are still waiting for their food. I am not joking when I say I waited 54 minutes for food. And On top of that the eggs I wanted over easy (nice and runny) they were hard. It was a simple breakfast skillet. I don't know if their breakfast making is slow or what but from what I saw here were 3 people in back cooking. Maybe their lunch and dinner services are faster. I am no pleased with the cooks here. Again Morgan was awesome, just a shame it took so long for the food.

I like coming here because the service is usually friendly and they have a solid menu of good tasting bar food. The broaster chicken is excellent and I often get cravings for the club sandwich. The breakfast special on Saturdays is a bargain and the Chinga omelet is huge! This place puts out a nice vibe with a good cross section of locals and tourists. In the summer its a great place to put your kickstand down and have some food and a beer right off the highway.
