Stopped here for a beer and a meal after a cold day in touristy Hallstatt. The staff was very friendly and recommended the great Hallstatt bier and chestnut bier that they brew for the restaurant and maybe the touristy town of Hallstatt(?) the beer was great! And the food was even better.
We got the truffle burrata: fresh, potent and creamy. The salads were delicious and crisp and fresh. The pasta was homemade and mushroomy guud. The schnitzel was fantastic! So thin, so crispy yet light batter and with great jam and potatoes.
It may look like your average tourist stop from the road, but it is far from it. Highly recommended to anyone looking for an authentic and delicious meal near Hallstatt but in Steeg!!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Brian A.Prairieville, LA08421Aug 8, 2017
Excellent!! Highly recommend! We stopped here on our way back from Hallstatt, very authentic German food! They have their own brewed beer which was outstanding. I got the lamb with mushrooms and risotto, they have pine needle ice cream and other great desserts. Friendly staff and great views
