Great place to buy: potted plants, produce, country ham, dried beans, canned jellies and relishes, homemade bakery items, homemade candies of all kind, including fudge. Very reasonable prices... particularly on homemade candies, and some of the best country ham around (they carry several brands but my favorite is Foot Hills)! I love visiting here when I'm in the area.

It's a wonderful fruit stand! Large and plenty of things to choose from....plants to candy to vegetables to pumpkins.

I've taken up this new hobby of exploring the state line between North Carolina and Virginia lately. On a random Sunday morning drive, I stumbled upon Virginia Carolina Enterprises and am so grateful that I did.

The sight of fresh produce is what initially drew me in. There's essentially a farm stand / farmer's market type of set up outside of what appears to be the main shop. All of the fruits and veggies were vibrant, gorgeous, and arranged beautifully enough to be Insta-worthy.

When you walk into the shop, there are large barrels of dried beans, locally-sourced meat/dairy/eggs/etc. (most seemed to be from Appalachia, which I loved). The walls and shelves are stocked with all sorts of speciality items -- salsas, jams, sweets, pickled veggies -- from a variety of local vendors.

Next door there's a place to buy all kinds of plants and gardening supplies. Again, everything is laid out beautifully and well-maintained.

The staff was very friendly and the prices were reasonable for the quality of the products. Will definitely keep this place in the monthly rotation of NC/VA line drives.

What are the hours for after Christmas week. I have pretty long drive to get to your location. If you are closed I will wait till after New Year.

Virginia Carolina Enterprises is my favorite place to shop when I visit my grandparents in the NC mountains. It's right across the border in Virginia, so we often drive over to get gas and pick up groceries. Gas is a few cents cheaper in Virginia, and the produce here is also reasonably priced- if not cheaper than a grocery store.

This market has the most fresh produce I've ever seen as well as locally-made jams, jellies, sauces, baked goods, and other products. There's even a meat section. If you're into sweets, the selection of candy, sweets, and fudge is one of the largest I've seen, and everything is packaged and priced by the pound. We always grab some sweets for the drive back. If you have diabetes or dietary concerns, the store carries a lot of sugar-free items as well.

While my city (Charleston) is a foodie hub, I wish we had a store like Virginia Carolina Enterprises. My husband and I will keep visiting every time we're nearby.

5 Stars awarded for selection of goods.
I can always find fresh MILD hoop cheese here along with pickled beets.
One item that is here which is difficult to find; Watermelon Rind Pickle.
      Average prices.

Looking for affordable, fresh, delicious produce? Then this is the place to be. It is packed with numerous items, especially plenty of produce. We spent way too much on fruits and vegetables, but it was worth it and we were well-stocked for a while. Most of the produce we purchased was fresh and tasty, except for the peaches. We planned to bake with the peaches, but all except a couple were mealy and over ripe the same day we bought them. Luckily, the customer service here is amazing and we were able to get a refund. We would shop here again!

Locally known as, "The State Line", Virginia Carolina Enterprises has really cool fruits and vegetables! This place is about the largest selection of fresh produce I've ever seen! A cousin of mine told me that the area around Cana, Virginia has the largest amount of produce traffic in the USA going through it.

This is a great place to pick up produce of almost any sort and flowers that are in season. Peaches, pumpkins, apples and grapes were all over the place a couple of weeks ago.

There are things here I've never even heard of, such as spicy pickled eggs and all types of jams, preserves, and candies. Fresh butter and meats also proliferate.

My only constructive criticism would be that they could benefit from suggestive selling. It seemed as though most of the employees stayed behind the counter and merely responded to inquiries. The location however, would be great to introduce travelers to new types of food, for example... pickled eggs, which I've never had, but there are certainly a lot there!
