"While we were staying in Holt, we decided to give the Tollgate Inn a try. I'm really glad we did. They were extremely inviting the moment we entered the pub. The food was very good. I had the rib eye and it was cooked perfectly for medium rare. I got it with cole slaw which, while not the slaw I am used to from the States, it was very yummy. I loved the rich onion flavor. My wife got the fish cakes and would get it again. My daughter loved the pulled pork and said it rivaled what we have back home. Finally, my son loved his burger. Dessert as just as good. The winner appears to be their homemade milk chocolate and orange ice cream. If you find yourself in Holt, definitely check out the Toll gate Inn."
