Seventies Peak protected area is located 25 kilometers east of Arak, 15 kilometers northwest of Mahallat, 30 kilometers north of Khomein and 35 kilometers northwest of Delijan.

Seventies Peak area has always been one of the historical hotspots in Iran since ancient times due to its special geographical conditions and massive vegetation and abundance of wild beasts. The seventy peak area during the Qajar period is considered one of the Qajar kings’ hunting grounds, and the existence of the remaining inscriptions in the rocky walls of the Tabak valley indicates hunting hundreds of rams and ewes in one day. Approximately 62 inscriptions have been taken in the mountains of the Seventy Peaks, with a history of some 400 years ago, and some of them have been mentioned as a source of flamboyant livelihoods.

A set of ecological functions and unique values ​​of the mountainous and plain ecosystem of the Seventy-Peak area has led the region to be among the protected areas of the Markazi province. In 1349, the solar area of ​​the area, including the mountains of Seventy Peaks, Lambshahr and Sibak, was declared by the Custodian and Custody Authority as a “prohibited hunting ground”, and then in 1353, with the addition of other areas and mountains by The Environmental Protection Agency took over the title “Protected Area of ​​the Seventy Peaks”.

The protected area of ​​Seventeen Peaks with an area of ​​81,125 hectares, has a semi-arid climate. The main characteristics of this climate are the continual precipitation in winter, warm summers and the dry, wet season throughout the year.

The protected area of ​​Seventies Peaks has rich vegetation, especially old trees, and there are large shrubs in the surrounding mountains. In the study of the flora of the Seventy Peak area, in 205 species of invertebrates, three species have been identified. These species belong to 153 genera from 41 families. The most diverse species in this region are chicory, mint, shabbobe, giant, Chattrian, Parvaneh, Clove, Gohuban, Laleh, Monkey and Alaleh families, respectively. A group of plant species of the protected area is seventy of medicinal and aromatic peaks, the most important of which are Shirin Expression, Sunflower, Kakotti, Maryam Nakhshoodi, Wicker, Shatrah, Rivas, Alaleh, Yamandaran, Rock Cliffs, Shrktyabol, Sheng, Khakashir, Mardab, Smooth, sullen, cuckoo, wheat umbrella, seedlings, Iranian chima and candied fruits.

The diversity of animals in this area is very large and consists of mammals, reptiles, amphibians, infectious and ….

The seventy-kilometer area is a very valuable and valuable habitat for native Iranian mammals living in the central steppe regions of Iran, including wild boar and goat (goat), ram, gooseberry and goat. In fact, the region of the seventy-peak summit is a symbol of the natural environment of the Markazi province.

Some carnivores with a high ecological status at the top of the pyramid are also living in the area, which can be called wolf, jackal, fox, cross, wild cat, Roodak and Phelong. In Iran, 502 species of birds have been identified, of which 71 species of 26 families live in the Seventy Peaks area, and 62% of them are migrants and the rest of the native area. Among the birds of prey in this protected area, Dalayeh, Golden Eagle and Saragpheh are native to the region and are Shahin, Homa and Imam Khomeini. Dry climatic conditions and vegetation The shoots of the Seventy Peak area are a good environment for the species of reptiles. The tortoiseshells are a spit tortoise species living in the plains and slopes of this region. The lizards consist of 8 families and 112 species, with the exception of the Snake and Bushmani, the rest of the Persian name is called Lizard or Lizard. Amphibians of the region are species of frogs and toads found mainly in stagnant waters around the villages and springs of the region.

Beautiful landscapes, diversity and wonders of the flora and fauna communities of different species of animals make this region a natural museum and laboratory for nature and biological science enthusiasts, so that many scholars, scholars and scholars from all over the world come from different disciplines this year.
