Travel Somerset is warning of flooding across the road on the B3139 Parsonage Lane/Broadway in Chilcompton urging drivers to take extra care if travelling in the area.

It comes as the forecast is for more rain, from 9pm tonight (January 12).

Further into Somerset the roads are flooded in Dulverton, and the A361 (Burrowbridge to East Lyng) is threatened with another closure. The flood gates remain open for now, but there are warnings that due to further rainfall and assessment on the ground, flooding is likely to mean that the A361 will be closed off at some point this afternoon/evening.

There have been flash floods in Radstock including along Mill Road by the builders merchants. In Midsomer Norton the water at Welton Vale is running really fast, while close to the sewage works the water has burst through in several places.
