The eco—trail "The village of Rayakoski - life at three borders" passes through the territory of the most interesting village of Rayakoski, where you can see the architectural structures of the northern peoples: one part of the buildings was built by Finnish builders, the other by Norwegian in the middle of the XX century. In addition, the village of Ryakoski is located on the picturesque bank of the Paz River and is surrounded by a rich pine forest. On the territory of the village there is an ecological school "Pasvika", where you can learn a lot of interesting things about the northern nature and see the employees of the reserve in action.

The village is unique in its architecture: the houses have been built since the early 1950s at different times by Finnish, Norwegian and Russian residents. This is the place where the borders of the three countries connect (6 km northwest of the village is the junction point of the borders of the three countries - Mount Muortkavarra), and the village itself harmoniously fits into the northern pine forest and stands near the bank of the main river of the reserve – the Groove.

On the territory of the ecological school there is a botanical garden of the reserve, which was created for the cultivation of rare plant species listed in the Red Books of the Russian Federation and the Murmansk region. As part of your trip in the summer, you can take a walk in the garden.

Cost: 920 rubles per person.

There is a border crossing regime on the territory of the reserve. To visit, you need to issue a pass in advance and coordinate your tour with the administration of the reserve. Phone: +7 (81554) 5-07-00
