Batsari Local Government Area Education Authority has emerged winner at the finals of 2022 Basic Education Inter School Debate Competition.
The final debate was between Batsari and Daura local government education authorities on the topic, “Going to Public School is beneficial and better than going to private schools”.
During the debate, Batsari team proposed, while the Daura opposed.
In his speech at the end of the debate, Katsina State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) Executive Chairman, Alhaji Lawal Buhari Daura described the debate as morale booster for the participants.
Alhaji Lawal Buhari Daura expressed hope that Katsina State would continue winning such debates quiz among others at all levels in Nigeria and outside the country.
The SUBEB chairman expressed appreciation to the state government for the support given to the board as well as the organizers for their effort towards achieving the success.
In his welcome address, the SUBEB Director Academic Services, Alhaji Hamza Dan Hajiya said the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) in collaboration with Katsina SUBEB organized the debate in thirty four local government education authorities of the state.
In a vote of thanks, the Education Secretary of Batsari, Dr. Salisu Garba thanked UBEC, SUBEB and all stakeholders for their continuation towards the success of the debate.
Medals and certificates were presented after the final debate which produced Daura and Danmusa local government areas as second and third positions respectively.
