Greek Tourism Ministry Plans to Boost Promotion of Central Macedonia Region
The Greek Tourism Ministry and the Thessaloniki Tourism Organization (TTO) are planning to work together in an effort to boost tourism numbers in the Region of Central Macedonia.
The region’s promotion was the main issue discussed between Deputy Tourism Minister Elena Rapti and Deputy Regional Governor of Central Macedonia and TTO President Voula Patoulidou, during a working meeting held at the organization’s headquarters in Thessaloniki.
Patoulidou, during the meeting, gave an overview of TTO’s ongoing efforts and activities, which extensively focus on launching strategic marketing campaigns focused on specific target markets.
The two officials decided to soon meet at the tourism ministry in Athens to “strategically plan” the future of the region of Central Macedonia.
“We will highlight the region’s potential and quality, leading it towards sustainability and supporting the local society and economy,” Rapti said.
On her part, Patoulidou pointed out the “shared passion” her and Rapti have for the Region of Central Macedonia, considering that they both are from Thessaloniki.
“We have known each other for years and are united by our love for our hometown… Today’s meeting offered a chance to outline the initiatives we have planned,” TTO’s president added.
The collaboration between the tourism ministry and Thessaloniki’s tourism organization expects to drive tourism growth and attract more arrivals to the Region of Central Macedonia.
