Anyone else having the issue of their e-check payment for La water works being returned then being charged 33 dollars due to the return. This is the second time this has happened. I tried fighting the fee the first time but they said my payment was returned. But a second time? Calling the water company tomorrow. Thx

DOG FOUND I found a stray husky on 4/28 at approx 5pm at the Lincoln Park in downtown Long beach. I took her to the vet to check for microchip but we did not find one. She is super sweet, good on a leash and good with dogs as well. Posting to find her owners! Please share

Hi Everyone Just want to give everyone heads up. Over the last few days I’ve got messages asking what kind of snake. First these are fake posts. It’s scammers posting it all over facebook, all over the country. This was not found in California. It’s a wild hognose snake from a different state. We don’t have them here. And no this one wasn’t someone’s pet. So if you see the post on facebook it’s fake.

CAL FIRE

On March 31, 2024, and April 8, 2024, the California State University, San Jose (SJSU) Police and the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) - Office of the State Fire Marshal (OSFM) Arson and Bomb Unit responded to fires in the Martin Luther King Jr. Library on the SJSU campus. The investigation revealed the fire causes were arson, on State of California property, and occupied by students at the time of the arson fires. The joint law enforcement investigation was a collaboration between SJSU Police and the CAL FIRE – OSFM Arson and Bomb Unit. All personnel involved worked tirelessly to canvass the area, review security camera footage, cultivate leads, and ultimately identify the suspect. The suspect was identified as SJSU sophomore student Amogh Upadhya. Amogh Upadhya was arrested and charged with four (4) counts of Arson and booked into the Santa Clara County Jail. Upadhya is being held on $400,000.00 bail until a court hearing on April 12, 2024. The CAL FIRE – OSFM Arson and Bomb Unit is dedicated to helping agencies all over California no matter the size of the department, location, or the time of day or night. Vincent Hill Station

jenny New ownership as in the past year or so. In all the years I’ve lived here the Watt family were the only owners, so as far as I know this is the only ownership change. Food is very good and it’s a great place to be with other locals. They are truly trying to make this place the spot to be, hope you’ll consider giving them a chance.
