I am posting this information in order to alert my neighbors. Have a possible scam from Smart energy. You may have received an orange colored postcard address to West Penn Power Customer. If so, be very cautious accepting the $100 Visa gift card they are offering you. The deal is not a deal at all. West Penn Power has a rate per kilowatt hour of 0.10010. if you accept the gift card being offered, your service will be provided by Smart Energy and your rate will go to 0.1292 which is approximately a 27% increase in the charge per kilowatt hour. This might look like a good deal but when you do your homework, you will find out it is not. I hope this information has been helpful to many of you.

One should not steal an old guy's loppers. Hello everyone. We live in Wimmerton on S. Shenandoah Drive next to the entrance to Wimmerton Place. Earlier this week I was pruning in the front yard. When evening was coming on, I took my wheelbarrow out back to empty it , and had laid down my loppers in the front yard (as I've done for about 40 years). When I came back, the loppers were gone. I retraced my steps throughout the front yard, out back, and checked the garage. No trace of the tool. The next day I thoroughly checked the vacant lot next to our property, thinking that maybe whoever took the tool had second thoughts, and tossed it. Nope. I don't get it (but I do). No one ever stole anything from our property or did any damage. And the loppers were not a high end item. If someone really needed them, I would have given them to him or her. Maybe it was a kid(s) playing a prank, who knows. I'm just disappointed that someone thought to steal from others. Looking at multiple camera security options on the Internet. Lawrence Cuda
