Social SecurityEmail Scam So I think “Sabra” posted about receiving one of these scam messages about your SS number being suspended…I looked at the Social Security site and it said to (1) forward the email to: reportphishing@apwg.org I did and email was still in gmail account so I clicked on hamburger link (2) at top right of email, and there was a link “report phishing email”. I clicked that and Google took the email away!

Someone hit a barrel of paint on the highway ahead of me (near the South Nevada exit) and it splat all over my car. I went to the carwash immediately but it was only 23 degrees. The paint didn't come off. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Impostors call customers and threaten that their services will be disconnected if they do not make an immediate payment. It is important to learn how to recoginze scams early on: We will NEVER demand payment over the phone and threaten immediate disconnection. It is our policy to offer payment options and solutions to avoid disconnects. We will NEVER request unconventional payment methods like MoneyGram, prepaid gift cards, or cryptocurrency. Legitimate payment options are available on www.csu.org If you receive a suspicious request from someone claiming to be a representative of Springs Utilities, hang up and call (719) 448-4800 to confirm the legitimacy of the request.

STATE OF COLORADO

Colorado Parks and Wildlife is requesting information about a suspicious incident that occurred between Saturday 12/9 and Tuesday 12/12 on the east side of Cherry Creek State Park, near the 12-Mile North Parking Area. The remains of a deer carcass were discovered that may have been involved in a poaching incident. We're looking for information from anyone who may have been in the area Saturday through Tuesday and witnessed anything out of the ordinary.
