UPDATE: Mabel has been found. Unfortunately, she is no longer with us. She may have picked a fight with a larger animal, or she was defending her ground and found not too far from home. Thank you, everyone, for your support and comments. It's been 2 weeks since our cat Mabel went missing. She is a brown tabby cat, who, for the last 4 years or so, has been an outdoor cat. We have lived in our home for 7 years and never had one of them not come home. She is friendly and vocal. If anyone has any information on her whereabouts, please contact me. I have called the local spca and vets. We also posted on pawboost. I'm hoping she was taken in by someone who doesn't use social media, so please spread the word. Thank you

This is a scam. “DHS will never ask for personal information in an unsolicited email, text message, or phone call. If someone is claiming to be from or affiliated with the Department and they are asking you for your personal information, it is a scam,” said DHS Secretary Val Arkoosh. “Please do not fall victim to identity theft. If you ever receive a suspicious call or text asking you for information about your benefits or for your financial information, please inform the DHS fraud tip line immediately so the proper authorities can investigate.” Please report any texts or calls about DHS benefits that seem suspicious by calling the DHS fraud tip line at 1-844-DHS-TIPS (1-844-347-8477). DHS does send informational text messages and phone calls to people who receive SNAP, Medicaid, and other benefits from the number 1-833-648-1964. However, DHS' text messages will not include: Details about a person’s benefits, such as the amount of SNAP they are authorized to receive, A request for specific personal information, and/or Links to unofficial sites; most DHS texts will direct people to dhs.pa.gov, COMPASS, or a site that ends in .gov or .org. These messages are scams. **UPDATE** PSP and Southern Regional PD have ended their search. Two males were taken into custody. Further information will be disseminated as it becomes available. Troopers from PSP York Station and officers from Southern Regional Police Department are currently conducting a search in New Freedom Borough, York County for two suspects who fled on foot from a stolen vehicle. A canine and drone are being used in the search.
