Within the measures taken against “Covid-19”, Turkish Government decided to apply some public restrictions, including the education system. According to this, a general restriction on campus academic activities will be applied to university students during the 2019-2020 academic year.

Other measures will be as follows:

1- Anyone of them who returned from abroad (especially from risk areas) in the past two weeks, or who is currently staying abroad, should observe a 14-days isolation period at their homes before coming to the university campus.

2- There won’t be any on-campus academic activity,but soon we will be starting distance education.

3- Academic and administrative staff of the university will be working, so our office will be accessible via e-mails and online tools. Please avoid from office visits unless it’s really necessary.

4- All events organised by the university are canceled. ESN is also informed about this decision and requested to act in a similar way.

The students who may consider to cancel their Erasmus mobility period and return home, should contact their home Erasmus offices for formalities, since these formalities are subject to change according to the decisions of National Agencies. We remain at your disposal for the bureaucratic issues.

All students are kindly asked to confirm the procedures of their health insurance policy in order to use it for a possible medical clinic visit, in case needed.

We also recommend all to take preventive hygienic measures to minimize the risk of getting infected or spreading the virus unintentionally:

– wash your hands very regularly and thoroughly (min. 20 sec. with soap) cologne or hand-cleaners may be supportive

– do not touch your nose and mouth

– use disposable tissues, cough or sneeze into your elbow

– greet each other without shaking hands, without kissing or hugging each other
