Protomartyr and Spray Paint have toured together multiple times, and now, they’ve announced a collaborative single where both bands play on both songs. Irony Prompts a Party Rat is out August 17 via Monofonus Press. Check out the A-side “Corinthian Leather,” featuring instrumentals from Spray Paint and vocals from Protomartyr’s Joe Casey, below. On the B-side “Bags and Cans,” Protomartyr recorded the instrumentals and Spray Paint provided the vocals.

Protomartyr recently released their four-song Consolation EP, which features the Breeders’ Kelley Deal. Read about Protomartyr’s boat show—a record release party for 2017’s Relatives in Descent.
