To celebrate the 25th anniversary of their third record, Dig Me Out, Sleater-Kinney have announced a new covers album coming this summer. The collection is set to feature St. Vincent, Wilco, Courtney Barnett, Low, the Linda Lindas, Jason Isbell and Amanda Shires, Tunde Adebimpe of TV on the Radio, and more covering songs from the band’s 1997 album. A portion of the proceeds from the album will go toward SMYRC, a Portland-based LGBTQIA+ youth center. Check out the band’s announcement on Instagram.

Sleater-Kinney released their most recent LP, Path of Wellness, last year. It was Sleater-Kinney’s first self-produced record, and their first album in over 25 years not to feature longtime drummer Janet Weiss, who left the group in 2019.
