Reviews for Maryland Hotels

DoubleTree by Hilton Washington DC North/Gaithersburg
4.2/5122 Reviews
We stayed overnight and enjoyed this very recently renovated hotel. It's bright, spacious, and welcoming. The modern decor is a bit minimalist but the bed, room appointments, and bath were all first-rate. And the price is reasonable. One minus: the bathroom has a motion-activated light; if you get up during the night to use the bathroom, the light comes on with blinding blindness that is disorienting and can make it difficult to get back to sleep.
Hilton Washington DC/Rockville Hotel & Executive Meeting Center

Our first time at this property and we chose it because of the location to the metro on the red line. It is right out the back door across the street. Extremely convenient! We were visiting DC for the weekend. The property was nice, the room was room was comfortable, the service was excellent, the underground parking, while there is an additional fee, is secure and convenient and the checkin/checkout process was flawless. If you want a completely digital experience this is it. The staff checked in via text a few times but were not intrusive. We requested extra towels and received them promptly. While we didn’t visit them, there is an on-site restaurant/bar and a coffee shop available. We have stayed at other properties in the area. I am glad we chose to disregard any disgruntled negative reviews. This will be our property of choice when we visit the city.
DoubleTree by Hilton Laurel

The hotel was clean. There were no bugs and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was nice. There is also breakfast, but it is not included. For the price of the hotel, it was definitely worth the stay.
The Westin Baltimore Washington Airport - BWI
4.1/5101 Reviews
I looked at all the BWI airport hotels carefully before booking, and decided that the Westin was probably the best. Now having stayed there I'm pretty sure I was right. The place is clean and modern, with a spacious lobby and updated design in the rooms. The blackout curtains are some of the best I've ever seen: I woke up at 8:30am convinced it was still the middle of the night. The bathroom has a great shower, was clean and fully stocked with towels. Really everything I could have asked for.
Antrim 1844
4.4/539 Reviews
This was our umpteenth time at the Antrim. Without a doubt this place delivers a visual feast from the opulent common rooms, the gardens and the rooms most which are lovely as well. But the staff is barely a ”B” team. We stayed for the weekend to celebrate our anniversary and we knew there would be weddings...oh those dreaded weddings!! There were 4 the weekend we stayed. The Antrim is all about weddings so if you are a regular guest, be prepared to feel like a second class citizen. And the staff will make it very clear they feel overwhelmed and put upon due to all the wedding demands. That led to numerous staff missteps over the weekend and for the price that is simply not acceptable. They need a crash course in the Ritz Carlton's mantra, ”Ladies & Gentlemen serving Ladies & Gentlemen” . But maybe that sophistication is simply not available in the area. Case in point...when we could not find a way to shut off the overhead lights directly over our bed and inquired about it at the front desk, we were told ”Oh yeah, your not the first guests who have asked about that ....but I don't know how they work either..the most recent guests said they reached up and unscrewed the lights bulbs...sorry” . At $350 a night!!!! I freaked out. I groused about at it at the bar and that got the ball moving and eventually we were told where the ”hidden” switch was located. Absolutely ”B” team staff for the most part. The food is always good but my Filet was mediocre. It's hard to write this as this has been a favorite for years! Same owners for many years but they need better staff who can live up to the hype and the price this Inn puts forth.
The Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore

I just want to say this was our first time coming to the Sonesta. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A special thanks to Michele who was a by far the most professional and friendly person. She was attentive to our needs and made the stay worth every penny. I would encourage anyone that is in the area to stay here. We will definitely be going back and staying. Loved the suite and the view! Once again we can’t thank Michele enough.

Stayed here twice and both times I paid was respectful and a customer like everyone else but the front desk guy treated me funny
Baltimore Marriott Waterfront
4.4/5106 Reviews
It was very lovely. The view of the water from our room was magnificent. The room was a great size and was very clean. The only thing I wish is that the parking garage was a little closer, but they do offer valet service. So all in all I had a great experience. O and also they let me check in early, which was a life saver.
The Hotel at the University of Maryland
4.4/5110 Reviews
Staying here for the second time, because the newest and largest hotel in University Park City is here, 2 bottles of mineral water are provided for free every day, and the housekeeping will be done every day without an order. It is very comfortable to live here for 6 days!
Marriott Owings Mills Metro Centre

The hotel was very beautiful. The bar and restaurant were comfortable but the drinks were very overpriced. The hotel accommodated an early check in without a charge which was a bonus. They did charge a $200 fee - which will be returned to my account, but I was not expecting that charge.
