The municipality has 1.145 inhabitants and an area of 3.887 hectares for a density of population of 29 inhabitants per square kilometre. It rises on a mountainous internal area and is 730 metres above sea-level. The Town Hall is placed in via Roccaforte n. 22, tel. ++39 091-8208034 fax. ++39 091-8208193. Godrano in the agricultural field has excellent products such as cereals and forages. The main breeding is the cattle-breeding; cattle are shown every year in the fair of cattle that takes place in September. The name Godrano derives from Arabic Al Gudran that was a neighbouring lake now called "of the Scanzano". In the XVI century the Lord Fabrizio Valguarnera built there a country house that became his permanent residence. Until the XVIII century it was inabited by the Lords Castello, Favara and Colonna-Cesarò. The Cathedral Church has to be visited for its typical eighteenth-century architecture.
