Before Mike Stud was the aspiring musical artist he is today, he actually was one of his home town’s greatest baseball players of all time. He won numerous awards for his achievements and received a full athletic scholarship to Duke University. His life was going great and he was on the way to the top until some bad news arose. After a Tommy John surgery put him on the bench, he felt that there was nothing else for him today except find something to pass the time. He did indeed find something and that something was deciding to make music in order to fill the void which could not have been a better decision for him. Fast forward a few months, a few million youtube views, and the release of his first album, Stud is now touring over 20 cities and is quickly on the rise to the top of the hip hop charts.

His style is mostly making remixes out of other artists songs but he also has a few singles of his own. If you wish to listen to one of his songs, above I have attached his remix of the song “We Can’t Stop” by Miley Cyrus which became a big hit for him. His other songs can be found on various sties all over the internet.

I personally appreciate his work because it came out of something unfortunate. They say that when one door closes a window opens and it surely did in this case. His terrible arm injury may have been the worst thing in his life at that moment, but it opened the gateway for something greater. His success in the music industry truly shows that not everything is as bad as it seems and things can always get better.
