BAHIA DE PATANEMO PUERTO CABELLO STATE CARABOBO- VENEZUELA

in #nuevo6 years ago

The Bay of Patanemo is a beach of the Carabobo State in Venezuela. It is located in the Municipality of Puerto Cabello within the San Esteban National Park, very close to Borburata. It owes its name to the place where it is located, the Town of Patanemo. This wide bay is formed by a flooded valley, between the tip of Yapascua, to the East and Punta Peñón to the West. Its eastern and western coast, rocky and steep, presenting to the south a wide sandy beach of approximately 800 m in length. The Laguna de la Bocaína is visible to the southwest. It covers an approximate area of 328 ha, with an average length of 2400 m and a width of 2 km.

Lagoons of Patanemo
The Lagoon of the Bocaina is located to the extreme west and surrounded by an abundant vegetation of mangroves and coconut trees. It is not commercially enabled, which is why very few people know the place, so it is enjoyed almost exclusively only by those who really know each bay refuge.

On the other hand Yapascua, although more withdrawn, has a little more of massive knowledge. Located to the east, on the border with the state of Aragua, this inlet has two access possibilities. The most economical is a walk that lasts about 90 minutes to cross two mountains and a swamp. The other more comfortable: rent a boat that takes 20 minutes. The beach is protected by a reef and offers a beautiful turquoise lagoon with salt water, excellent for snorkeling.
