Riding the Tram at Jay Peak Resort

Over the weekend I took a ski trip to Jay Peak Resort in Jay, Vermont. Although my brother @bryanjagoe worked as a chairlift operator at Jay Peak this winter, this was my first time ever visiting this mountain. It quickly became my favorite in the East. Here's a video I took while riding the aerial tram. This massive ski lift is the only aerial tram in the entire state of Vermont. It holds up to 60 people! The tramway began operating in 1966 and is the oldest lift on Jay Peak. It is the only way to the summit. When you arrive at the top of the mountain, the Tram Haus Lodge is there to greet you with refreshments, hot food, and a place to warm up before hitting the slopes. The views from the tram carriage are amazing. From the skiers down below to the mammoth mountains in the distance, this was certainly a cool trip to the peak. Enjoy the views!
