MP: 22 injured in Hingot war in Gautampura

Indore: 20 injured during famous Hingot War at Gautampura
The Hingot war is traditional fight between Turra group of Gautampura village and Kalgi group of Runji village held a day after Diwali festival.
INDORE: As many as 22 persons were injured in the traditional Hingot war – two groups pelt burning pegs at each other – in Gautampura village in Depalpur tehsil around 55 km from Indore on Monday evening.
The Hingot war is traditional fight between Turra group of Gautampura village and Kalgi group of Runji village held a day after Diwali festival.
The event that was held at Ralayata ground of Gautampur, attracted huge crowd from Depalpur, Indore, Dhar, Khandwa and Ujjain.

Before the fight, both the teams visited Devnarayan temple to take blessings.
After blow of the horn, members of both the teams started throwing burning hingots on each other.
Some of the hingots got deviated and fell in the spectators' arena, due to which two of the spectators were injured, official sources said.
The injured were treated at a hospital and discharged.
