PATIALA: Punjab agriculture and farmers’ welfare minister Randeep Singh Nabha, on Saturday said the state government would not allow a blackout situation in Punjab despite the coal crisis in the country.
During his maiden visit to the town after being elevated as a minister, Randeep Singh said chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi led government has made all arrangements to resolve the power crisis and a special train of coal consignment will be sent to thermal power plants in Punjab soon.

He also assured that there will no shortage of DAP fertiliser as1.97 lakh MT DAP was reaching in the state. While paying obeisance at the memorial of Gurdarshan Singh, his late father and exminister, situated near Nabha-Patiala bypass, the cabinet minister reiterated that he will serve the people of Punjab selflessly.
Reiterating his commitment for the development of Amloh as well as Nabha constituencies, Randeep Singh said that erstwhile Nabha state has a huge contribution and prominent place in the Sikh history, but the city and its residents have not got due position. The minister said he will take up the demand of the people to make Nabha a district with the state government.
Condemning the pathetic attitude of the Union and Uttar Pradesh governments towards the Lakhimpur Kheri tragic incident, the minister sought immediate removal of the Union minister of state for home and arrest of perpetrators. No section of the society is happy with policies of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government and the saffron party will face the consequences in upcoming elections.
