NEW DELHI: Real Madrid continued their impeccable performance in the Champions League, securing a 2-1 victory against Braga on Tuesday, moving one step closer to securing a place in the knockout stage. The standout player for Real Madrid was once again Jude Bellingham, who scored his 11th goal in 12 matches since joining the club.
With this win, Real Madrid solidified their position in Group C, maintaining a perfect record with six points from three matches.
On the other hand, Braga has three points. Real Madrid, a 14-time European champion, is aiming to qualify for the knockout rounds for the 28th consecutive time, whereas Braga has never advanced beyond the group stage. This season marks Braga's third appearance in the Champions League after an 11-year absence.

Rodrygo opened the scoring for Real Madrid in the 16th minute, capitalizing on an assist from Vinícius Júnior, who made a penetrating run down the left flank. Bellingham extended Madrid's lead in the 61st minute with a well-placed shot into the far corner, once again assisted by Vinícius.
However, Braga fought back as Spaniard Álvaro Djaló found the back of the net in the 63rd minute with a shot into the top corner. Despite their efforts, Braga was unable to secure a comeback, and Real Madrid emerged victorious in this Champions League clash.
With this win, Real Madrid remains on track to continue their impressive Champions League journey, while Braga will look to improve their performance and potentially secure a spot in the next round in their first Champions League appearance in over a decade.
