Filipinos in Chiba Prefecture have a registered population of 20,795 individuals as of 2022, making them the 5th largest group of Filipinos in Japan by prefecture, ahead of Shizuoka and behind Saitama.[1]

Major cities

The centers of Filipino population in Chiba Prefecture are the capital and largest city of Chiba and surrounding areas, and Matsudo and Ichikawa, both of which border the Tokyo Metropolis.[1:1]

The largest populations of Filipinos are found in Chiba City (2,951), Matsudo (1,928), Ichikawa (1,566), Funabashi (1,447) and Kashiwa (1,050).[1:2]

Chiba Prefecture

Chiba Prefecture (千葉県, Chiba-ken) is a prefecture of Japan located in the Kantō region of Honshu. It has a population of 6,278,060 (1 June 2019) and has a geographic area of 5,157 km2. Chiba Prefecture borders Ibaraki Prefecture to the north, Saitama Prefecture to the northwest, and Tokyo to the west.[3]

Chiba Prefecture has a large industrial zone for electric power generation, petrochemical processing, shipbuilding, logistics and steel production industries. The Tokyo Disney Resort and Narita International Airport are also located in the prefecture.[3:1]
