Description

From the top of the Parsennbahn 2 at 2660 meters you have a real mountain adventure awaiting you.

When you get out of the bahn house go right and make your way around and on the back following the ski pist, then turning right as you have the Gipfelbahn above your head. Follow the ski piste for a while and you will eventually find the trail down by the Hauptertäli ski lift.

The section from Haptertäli to Strelapass takes you through some really rocky and steep scenery that seems to be from another planet. There are spiers and gulleys, tunnels and bridges built a long time ago. A real gem of a trail.

Getting to the Strelapass you can have a cake and a coffee or you can continue on. Take the small road going towards the Strelaberg skilift and make a hard right and above the lift house when you get there.

From the Strelaberg skilift you will climb about 50 meter to the Strelasee on a very nice trail. Then you will stay just above 2400 until you get to Latchüelfurgga where you will start the climb up towards Chörbschhornshütte (which is unattented - no beer here).

From here on down it is all downhill on an absolutely amazing trail following the ridge down towards Stafelalp. This section of the trail is worth all the effort put in on the climbs. You can stop at Stafelalp and eat lunch if you timed it properly.

From Stafelalp follow the road northwest (the 646 sign) and you will find the trail again winding its way through the woods like a natural flow trail. When you get to the dirt road and you still have some energy and breaks left, do not take the road, but follow the trail down to Frauenkirch.

Now ride back to Davos Dorf for another round.

Access

From Davos Dorf take the Parsennbahn 1 and 2.

A fantastic landscape right after the trail starts.

The start is at 2660 meters above sea level, so there might be snow even in summer.

Spiers, gullies, tunnels and bridges. And there should be a nice view.

Dustin Dre Chsler rated Chörbschhorn (646) very good. Very good and very hard tour! After the challenging uphill and before you start your downhill, you can relax at a small and nice cabin. The downhill is also challenging with step downs, steep parts with turns and so one. All what mountainbikers like.4.oct.2017
