A neglected palace in Vinnytsia region is planned to be turned into a tourist attraction

In the village of Nosykivka of the Shargorod hromada of the Vinnytsia region, work is ongoing on the arrangement of the premises and territory of the former estate of the Szczeniowski landowners. The work is carried out by volunteers, reports the public organization "Heritage UA" on its official Facebook page.

Over the past month, enthusiasts from Kamianets-Podilskyi, Khmelnytskyi, Yarmolyntsi, Vinnytsia, and Kyiv cleaned the premises and the attic, removed garbage from the basements, cleared the lawn in front of the building, cut down thickets, and sowed seeds at the entrance to the estate.

For more than two decades, the building stood empty, reports "Suspilne". According to local resident Vasyl Pyshnyak, this building used to be a hospital, and then a dispensary. Before that, the family of the sugar magnate Stanisław Szczeniowski lived here from the end of the 19th century. He lived here with his family, his sons Olgerd and Vladyslav were born here. During the First World War, Stanisław Szczeniowski died at the front, and his wife Ludwika and their sons emigrated to Zakopane in 1918.

The Szczeniowski Palace is the first object in Vinnytsia that was taken under the care of the volunteers of the "UA Heritage" organization. For volunteer tourism, they choose little-known objects of Ukraine, which they clean, clear of thickets and popularize them through social networks.
 
"At first, we inspect the object with an architect, determine whether it is safe for people to work on it. We have determined that work here will be absolutely safe. We choose little-known objects," said Anastasia Donets, a representative of the organization.

Over the years, cracks have appeared in the walls of the palace. Bricks began to fall on the balconies. The stairs were also damaged. Anastasia Donets said that the house has two emergency parts. One of them is a veranda. Its roof was partially destroyed: the beams bent and collapsed. Trees grew on it. After cleaning, the stumps remained, and inside - hanging roots. Green moss on the walls are traces of a leaking roof. Thanks to the fact that there was a hospital here, it was possible to save the building.

There is a 5-hectare park around the house. There are remains of benches on the main avenue. The cleaning work has been completed, in the future volunteers will clear the park so that eventually a tourist facility or a rehabilitation center can be built here.

У селі Носиківка Шаргородської громади Вінницької області тривають роботи з упорядкування приміщення і території колишньої садиби поміщиків Щеньовських. Роботи здійснюють волонтери, повідомляє громадська організація "Спадщина UA" на офіційній сторінці у Facebook.

Протягом останнього місяця на толоках ентузіасти з Кам'янця-Подільського, Хмельницького, Ярмолинців, Вінниці та Києва прибрали приміщення та горище, вивезли сміття з підвалів, розчистили галявину перед будівлею, вирубали хащі та самосів на в'їзді в садибу. 

Понад два десятиліття будинок стояв пусткою, повідомляє "Суспільне". За словами місцевого жителя Василя Пишняка, раніше у цьому приміщенні була лікарня, а потім – амбулаторія. До цього тут із кінця XIX століття мешкала родина цукрового магната Станіслава Щеньовського. Тут він жив з сім’єю, тут народилися його сини Ольгерд та Владислав. Під час Першої світової війни Станіслав Щеньовський загинув на фронті, а його дружина Людвіка з синами у 1918 році емігрувала до Закопане.

Палац Щеньовських – перший об’єкт на Вінниччині, який взяли під свою опіку волонтери організації "Спадщина UA". Для волонтерського туризму вони обирають маловідомі об’єкти України, які прибирають, розчищають від хащ і популяризують їх через соцмережі.
 
"Спочатку ми обстежуємо об’єкт з архітектором, визначаємо, чи на ньому безпечно працювати людям. Ми визначили, що тут робота буде абсолютно безпечною. Ми обираємо маловідомі об'єкти", – розповіла представниця організації Анастасія Донець.

За роки стінами палацу пішли тріщини. На балконах почала обсипатися цегла. Сходи теж зазнали руйнувань. Анастасія Донець розповіла, що у будинку є дві аварійні частини. Одна з них – веранда. Дах на ній був частково зруйнований: балки зогнили й обвалилися. На ньому росли дерева. Після прибирання залишилися пеньки, а всередині – звисає коріння. Зелений мох на стінах – сліди, де покрівля протікала. Завдяки тому, що тут була лікарня, вдалося зберегти будівлю.

Довкола будинку – 5 гектарів парку. На головній алеї – залишки лавок. Роботи з прибирання завершили, надалі волонтери розчищатимуть парк, аби з часом тут можна було облаштувати туристичний об’єкт або реабілітаційний центр.
