Chincholi

Chincholi is a nice weekend getaway from Hyderabad in the Kalburagi district of Karnataka bordering Telangana. It is famous for the Chandrampalli dam, Gottam Gutta water falls, wildlife sanctuary. There are a lot of Eucalyptus trees around and reminds one of Ooty. There is a small Hanuman temple in the sanctuary. This is located around 140 kms from Hyderabad near Zaheerabad bordering Telangana and Hyderabad. It makes for a good picnic outing for family and friends. There are trekking options also available.

Chandrampalli dam which is built across the Bhima river is very scenic and in between to mountains. It is around 20 kms from Chincholi and one can walk on the dam till the end.
