As everyone else said. Parked up on the road around from the bend then through to a memorial garden up to the barbed wire fence. I didn't climb the fence, so no pic of the FB.

The Trig Slightly damaged. Trig is on the other side of the barbed fence, which I didn't climb over.

Parked on the road to the north of the pillar. Accessed a memorial garden (Dorothea Margaret Worsley-Taylor) via a gate and then climbed over a barbed wire fence into the trig field. The pillar is next to the fence adjacent the memorial garden. Replacement cap. A large section of the pillar is missing near the bottom on the one side, see photo.

Revisit whilst on BM hunt from Waddington to Clitheroe,no need to climb any barbed wire fences just walk through Mason House farm entrance at junction & follow hedge west just one gate to climb over straight to pillar.I got a phone call off son in law mid walk asking if I wanted to do Coniston Old Man.On to Low Moor next for St Pauls Church Spire & BM,then on to Coniston Old Man for a revisit.

HISTORY: Pillar completed 7th July 1948 costing £14.6s.0d. Computed as tertiary triangulation station SD74/T4 in 1948. Levelled for height in 1961. Last maintained by the OS in April 1976. SITE VISIT: Parked by communal entrance signed to four farms on south side of road at SD692437. New gates and fencing around plot to south which separates trig from road, direct route across. Pillar in fair condition, surface layer depleting from lower trunk. Spider retains replacement OS cap with raised large wide letters. Flush bracket faces south, ~190°. Vented through north sight hole. Partial open outlook but any would be views of note are hidden by trees and foliage.

Parked same as Morecambe Monkey.Pillar can be seen from here,as trees have been felled and is literally 1 minute away now,over one bit of fence right by pillar.Pillar looks to be 2 tone concrete & is coming apart on one side.Pillar has original cap with raised letters.No views as such.

Another easy one,parked in entrance to track/PROW leading down to Mason House farm. Walked down track & over cattle grid,turned immediately left towards gate in corner of field.over this & trig is visible in the corner. No need to go through wooded area,this has seen a lot of activity & is now full of felled trees & deep pools of stagnant water.

On private land so access needs rather restricted and needed the stradling of a fence to reach it. Otherwise quite visible. I parked near the wood/road corner and followed a feint path to reach the fence. Some damage to the pillar but has an original raised letter plug. Views somewhat restricted.

Done on a walk from Clitheroe. Accessed through a small copse and over a very thorny hedge. Exit was much easier by going out through the (previously unseen)nearby gate! This was the day before my birthday hence the wine bottle! Limited views due to cloudy conditions.
