When someone mentions Northern Michigan or the Upper Peninsula, there probably is a great story ready to tell or an incredible photo to share. Great forests, clear waters, trails, rocks, wildlife, peace, and adventure abound in the region. Incredible sunsets, long stretches of beaches, exciting waterfalls, quiet trails, and seemingly endless places to explore. For a lot of us, it’s a very special place.

Walloon Writers Review collects and shares stories, poetry, creative writing, and nature photography that capture the unique experience of Northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula.

Our literary journal welcomes writers and photographers of all backgrounds and experiences. There is something for everyone in each edition and the contents are suitable for a broad audience and pleasant to read.
