<p>The history of the family Vasques de Carvalho has roots as strong as a vine and is confused with the history of the Douro. <p>Lavradores de Feitoria (a.k.a. Feitoria) is a unique project, created on September of 2000. Resulted from the union of 15 producers, owners of 18 Quintas spread throughout the best terroirs in the 3 sub-regions of the Douro region (Baixo Corgo, Cima Corgo and Douro Superior). Nowadays the company has 48 shareholders (of which 15 are producers), and 19 Quintas.  Together, they have a total area of vineyard of more than 600 ha.</p> <p>The goal of this brand has been, since the beginning, to create balanced and elegant wines that age well, having as a starting point the declared commitment with the excellence and tradition of Douro</p>

<p>The company was founded in 1926 by Mr. Messias Baptista, who served as chairman until 1973. The management is still held by the descendants of MESSIAS family. <span id="result_box" lang="en" xml:lang="en">Since its foundation</span> that MESSIAS <span lang="en" xml:lang="en">has been producing and selling high quality wines from the main demarcated regions:</span> Bairrada, Douro, Dão, Vinho Verde, Beiras and Vinho do Porto. <p>Manoella Rosé Wine presents a pale pink hue with bright reflections that reveals a very delicate rosé. Its nose is intense and complex with notes of fresh red fruits, mineral and floral touches. In the mouth, it has excellent freshness and good volume.</p>

<p>Quinta de Valbom red and Quinta de Valbom Reserva red are the two wines that this property produces. They result from vinification in granite lagares and the ageing takes place in French oak barrels.</p> <p>More than just producing one more wine, Luis Duarte's aim is to produce an ex-libris of the douro region, so he is in no hurry to put it on the market. On the contrary, he bets on prolonged ageing and the result is a wine where all the elements are more integrated, more harmonized giving more pleasure to drink it!</p>
